Zaithwa Zayi Kateka is a young professional who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities; specializing in English Literature and Psychology. She has over 4 years of experience working with both local and international organizations in the Human Rights and Development sectors respectively. Across these fields, she has worked in Communications, Gender, Social and Economic Justice Advocacy and Project management.

Zayi serves as a member of the Young Women’s consortium on SHRH and a member of the MDNA network of journalists convened by African Forum for debt and development. She is also an alumnus of the Gender Justice Feminist Leadership Academy and of the Art and Global Health students with dreams program. Zayi identifies as Afro-feminist and possesses strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.
