Position

Mervis Kamanga is development professional with over five years of experience managing projects focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), HIV, Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), and gender equality in Malawi. Her career is characterized by impactful roles within both local and international NGOs, including UN Women Malawi, SRHR Africa Trust, Facilitators of Community Transformation, Good Neighbors Malawi and Kamuzu University of Health Sciences.

Her commitment towards empowering women and girls extends beyond her professional roles as she has dedicated over 10 years to volunteering efforts, including her role as a board member for the UN Women Executive Director’s Global Civil Society Advisory Group from 2017 to 2019. Mervis holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural economics from the Lilongwe university of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
