Nyatuwe Emma Phiri has worked in the human rights and good governance sector for over 8 years. She works as a Program Officer of the Centre for Human Rights and Rehabilitation, championing the rule of law through empowering the urban and rural citizenry to understand and exercise their rights.
Nyatuwe holds a Bachelors’ degree in Social Work (cum laude) from the Catholic University of Malawi obtained in 2014. She has a minor in Political Leadership and has several certificates in short professional study from the Centre for Human Rights Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria and University of Ghent. Nyatuwe has championed more than 5 health and governance programs that have promoted but are not limited to the following; the rights of all especially marginalized groups such as women, girls, young people, the elderly, People with Albinism (PWAs), and gender non-conforming people.
